Role: Infrastructure Engineer/ System Engineer (Database Focus)
Location: Charlotte NC (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite per Week)
Employment Type: Contract (C2C)

Experience: 7 8 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Administer monitor and maintain enterprise database environments.
• Install configure upgrade and patch database servers.
• Perform database performance tuning optimization and capacity planning.
• Manage backup recovery and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database server and infrastructure-related issues.
• Monitor database health storage utilization and system performance.
• Collaborate with application infrastructure and DevOps teams to support production environments.
• Implement database security user access controls and compliance standards.
• Support high availability replication clustering and failover solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation operational procedures and system configurations.
• Participate in production support and on-call rotations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7 8 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering or Database Administration.
• Hands-on experience with one or more database platforms:
  • Oracle
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Experience with database backup recovery and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of storage systems networking fundamentals and virtualization technologies.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell Bash or Python.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools.
• Familiarity with automation DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Database or cloud certifications are a plus.
