THE WORK:
  • Youll provide operational leadership for the national Rail & Transit practice supporting the Managing Director in overseeing day-to-day business operations resource planning and performance against the practices strategic and financial goals
  • Youll help lead annual budgeting and forecasting for the practice and manage the tracking of project revenues expenditures utilization and profitability
  • Youll support core operational workflows across departments including contracts reviews certificate of insurance requests business license requests proposal support requests and staff requisitions
  • Youll partner with the Rail & Transit Industry Captain and sub-Industry leads to set practice priorities allocate resources and translate strategy into actionable operating plans
  • Youll manage mentor and develop practice staff and support recruiting onboarding and team building to scale the national Rail & Transit practice
  • Youll help establish and continuously improve the processes tools and best practices that drive consistency quality and efficiency across regional offices
  • Youll help develop and execute the practices growth strategy coordinating business development pursuits with the Industry Captain regional leads and adjacent markets to accomplish goals for market growth
    Youll identify lead and collaborate with industry contacts to develop major pursuit efforts for the Rail & Transit market from identification through submission
  • Youll support he proposal response process including detailed RFP requirements and deadlines content creation and subsequent follow-up requirements which may include interviews
  • Youll generate new leads screen potential business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships and teaming relationships to position the practice for new work
  • Youll build and maintain relationships with clients and teaming partners arranging meetings and positioning the practice for upcoming opportunities
  • Youll attend and participate in industry outreach and informational events to build local contacts promote the Company and personal brand and identify project opportunities
  • Youll direct the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and oversee the development of marketing materials presentations and graphics for external purposes
  • Youll work closely with all stakeholders across rail and transit programs including but not limited to transit agencies operators contractors executives municipal officials and funding partners such as the FTA and FRA
  • Youll actively engage in presentations from preparation through delivery and oversee the preparation of written materials including correspondence reports procedures and guidelines
  • Remote: This role allows for remote work for the majority of your work hours.
  • Travel: Up to 20% travel as required by business needs.
  • Onsite: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 10 years of experience including leadership in business operations and/or business development
  • Prior experience with rail transit and transportation related industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams managing budgets and overseeing day-to-day business operations
  • Presentation Skills: Verbal & Digital (ability to create presentations graphics charts etc. that explain topics effectively)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Familiarity with public agency procurement and the Rail & Transit funding landscape
  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA)
  • Must be a self-starter who is reliable responsive and professional and able to handle confidential information with discretion and trustworthiness
$190000 - $205000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors which may include but are not limited to the specific office location role skill set and level of experience. As required by local law Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois Maine Minnesota California Colorado District of Columbia Maryland Massachusetts New York New Jersey Ohio Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
