Job Summary
- Youll provide senior-level field engineering support during active construction including earthwork bridge and structural elements (viaducts foundations CIDH piles retaining walls) roadway utilities and grade separation elements.
- Youll review construction means and methods for compliance with plans specifications safety requirements and constructability with particular focus on structural work and sequencing.
- Youll understand how daily field activities impact critical path schedule cost risk traffic handling and public impacts and support resolution of field issues conflicts and unforeseen conditions with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Youll identify potential downstream impacts early and proactively elevate issues to the RE/CM team.
- Youll support coordination between design intent construction execution and contract requirements and assist with review of RFIs submittals structural shop drawings change orders and field directives.
- Youll support quantity tracking progress verification and pay estimate documentation and maintain accurate field records daily reports and photo documentation.
- Youll coordinate with inspectors surveyors utility owners structural engineers of record rail agencies (if applicable) and third-party stakeholders.
- Youll participate in construction meetings and provide informed technical input and communicate clearly and professionally with contractor supervision and client representatives.
- Youll support QA/QC processes and verification of work in place particularly for structural concrete foundations and bridge elements.
- Youll reinforce safety expectations and compliance with project safety plans and assist with compliance related to environmental commitments traffic control and public agency requirements.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in construction engineering or construction management.
- 10-15 years of experience on transportation infrastructure projects with significant structures components (bridges grade separations retaining walls).
- 10-15 years of experience in construction sequencing means and methods and contract documents.
- 10-15 years of experience with construction documentation systems and standard CM tools.
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Contractor experience on transportation-related projects as a field engineer superintendent or project manager.
- Prior experience on public-sector projects in Southern California.
- Familiarity with Caltrans-style specifications local agency standards and utility coordination.
- Experience supporting change management and claims avoidance.
- Direct experience with bridge construction CIDH piles and structural concrete.
- EIT or PE (California)
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors which may include but are not limited to the specific office location role skill set and level of experience.
