THE WORK:
  • Youll provide senior-level field engineering support during active construction including earthwork bridge and structural elements (viaducts foundations CIDH piles retaining walls) roadway utilities and grade separation elements.
  • Youll review construction means and methods for compliance with plans specifications safety requirements and constructability with particular focus on structural work and sequencing.
  • Youll understand how daily field activities impact critical path schedule cost risk traffic handling and public impacts and support resolution of field issues conflicts and unforeseen conditions with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Youll identify potential downstream impacts early and proactively elevate issues to the RE/CM team.
  • Youll support coordination between design intent construction execution and contract requirements and assist with review of RFIs submittals structural shop drawings change orders and field directives.
  • Youll support quantity tracking progress verification and pay estimate documentation and maintain accurate field records daily reports and photo documentation.
  • Youll coordinate with inspectors surveyors utility owners structural engineers of record rail agencies (if applicable) and third-party stakeholders.
  • Youll participate in construction meetings and provide informed technical input and communicate clearly and professionally with contractor supervision and client representatives.
  • Youll support QA/QC processes and verification of work in place particularly for structural concrete foundations and bridge elements.
  • Youll reinforce safety expectations and compliance with project safety plans and assist with compliance related to environmental commitments traffic control and public agency requirements.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

HERES WHAT YOULL NEED:
  • 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in construction engineering or construction management.
  • 10-15 years of experience on transportation infrastructure projects with significant structures components (bridges grade separations retaining walls).
  • 10-15 years of experience in construction sequencing means and methods and contract documents.
  • 10-15 years of experience with construction documentation systems and standard CM tools.
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • Contractor experience on transportation-related projects as a field engineer superintendent or project manager.
  • Prior experience on public-sector projects in Southern California.
  • Familiarity with Caltrans-style specifications local agency standards and utility coordination.
  • Experience supporting change management and claims avoidance.
  • Direct experience with bridge construction CIDH piles and structural concrete.
  • EIT or PE (California)
$150000 - $180000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors which may include but are not limited to the specific office location role skill set and level of experience. As required by local law Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois Maine Minnesota California Colorado District of Columbia Maryland Massachusetts New York New Jersey Ohio Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
