Job Summary

The primary function of the Intern position is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing hands-on experience in full-stack software development within a financial of both front-end and back-end development technologies.

DutiesandResponsibilities:

  • Assist with various full-stack development projects and tasks to gain understanding of how technology is implemented and used within the organization.
  • Assistinawidevarietyofteamprojectsparticipateinteammeetingsandgainexperience working in a professional corporate environment.
  • Gainhands-onpracticalexperience inbothfront-endandback-enddevelopmentrolesand responsibilities providing support to deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Learn and develop essential full-stack development skills around troubleshooting and proper communication to provide daily issue resolution as reported by end users.
  • Assistinteamprojectsandassignedtasksincludingcriticaldailyprocessvalidationsaudit reviews and researching system issues.
  • Participate in testing system updates and bug fixes. Identify defects/bugs document testing results and communicate findings to manager.
  • Perform special projects as determined by the information technology staff.
  • Gainandrefineinterpersonalskillstoeffectivelycommunicatewithco-workersdepartment heads and various levels of management.
  • Develop and refine planning organizational and time management skills.
  • Gainhands-onexperienceworkinginateam-basedenvironment.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the IT team to discuss projects and issues to be resolved.
  • Gainexperience workingundergeneralsupervision.
  • Otherdutiesasassigned.

Qualifications:

  • AttendingaccreditedcollegeoruniversityworkingtowardsanITdegreewithafocusonsoftware development or a related field.
  • Energeticorganizedandpassionateabouttechnologywiththedesiretobuildacareerinfull-stack software development.
  • Highlydevelopedinterpersonalskillsandtheabilitytoworkwellinateam-basedenvironment.
  • Abilitytodedicate 15-20hoursperweektothisinternprogram.
  • Abilitytoalwaysmaintainthe confidentialityofthe CreditUnionandmemberrecords.

PerformanceStandard:

  • High level of professionalism with a demonstrated ability to work well with others.
  • Quicklearnermotivatedindividualwithnaturalanalyticalproblem-solvingandrootcause analysis skills.

PhysicalRequirements:

  • Performtasksrequiringmanualdexterity(processingpaperworkfilingstaplingsorting collating typing counting cash etc.).
  • Sitfor extendedperiodsoftime.
  • Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper cash drawers marketing material etc.
  • Repetitivemotionusingwristshandsandfingers.
  • Reachkeyboards.
  • Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator computer telephone copy machine fax machine etc.).
