Job Summary
Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology Test & Evaluation Program Mission Support Engineering & Analysis and Training.
Responsibilities
- Design implementation and verification of secure IT infrastructure and participation in planning development and deployment.
- Provide advisory support to the ISSM on ATO extensions and BoE review.
- Perform high level architecture/security engineering responsibility.
- Ensure automated information system (AIS) and network nodes are operated maintained and
- Analyze design and implement technical security controls for complex information systems in accordance with RMF NIST and DoD requirements.
- Perform configuration assessments vulnerability assessments and risk assessments for systems applications and supporting infrastructure.
- Configure deploy and validate security tools and technologies to monitor detect and protect against cyber threats.
- Support the development documentation and maintenance of assessment and authorization (A&A) packages including system security plans (SSPs) plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms) and supporting artifacts.
- Conduct security impact analyses for system changes and recommend appropriate security engineering solutions.
- Participate in incident tracking and remediation activities; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and 11-12 years of related work experience
- TS/SCI clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Must meet DoD 8140 qualification requirements for the Systems Security Analyst work role designated as work role code 461 at the Advanced proficiency level
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $159600.00/Yr. - USD $266500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
