Job Summary
Pay: $38.25 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour (After 8 PM)
Shift & Working Hours: 1:30 PM 10:00 PM; Weekends/Overtime as needed.
TheIndustrial Refrigeration Technicianreports to the PSM Manager and helps ensure the smooth daily operation of the ammonia engine room and complete utility system. This position completes preventive maintenance work orders and equipment repairs within the assigned area. Systems and equipment include the glycol system cooling towers condensers heat exchangers silos HVAC boilers and related equipment. The technician also supports the implementation and development of continuous improvement ideas. Key components of the position include ensuring quality and safety practicesfacilitatingteamwork and performing tasks that maximize the reliability availability and efficiency of plant utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Ammonia Refrigeration:
Operate andmonitorammonia refrigeration systems.
Perform routine inspections and operator rounds.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions.
Support emergency response activities asrequired.
Maintenance & Reliability:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Maintain compressors condensers evaporators pumps valves and related equipment.
Complete work orders and maintenance records.
Support mechanical integrity and inspection programs.
Utility Systems:
Operate andmaintainutility equipment including:
Cooling towers
HVAC systems
Heat exchangers
Air compressors vacuum systems and dryers
Boilers and associated equipment
Safety & Compliance:
Follow OSHA EPA PSM and company safety requirements.
Participate in incident investigations Management of Change (MOC) Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) confined space hot work and other safe work practices.
Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Required Experience and Skills:
Industrial maintenance utilities refrigeration or manufacturing experience.
Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) manuals and technical drawings.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
Ammonia refrigeration experience.
Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association (RETA) certification or equivalent training.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Able to climb ladders and stairs.
Able to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
Frequent movement including standing walking bending kneeling and working in confined spaces as needed.
Able to wear required personal protective equipment including respiratory protection whenrequired.
Required to work the scheduled shift which may include weekends some holidays and periodic overtime.
