Job Summary

RP Constructors LLC began operations in 2015 and has experienced rapid growth each year since. Due to continued growth we are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Welder/Fitter to join our Industrial Division. This position is responsible for fabricating fitting welding installing maintaining and repairing process and utility piping systems used in industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong fitting and welding skills a commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented construction environment.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints isometric drawings P&IDs specifications and welding procedures to determine project requirements.
• Lay out measure cut fit fabricate and assemble piping systems according to project specifications.
• Perform pipe welding using approved welding procedures and processes including TIG MIG Stick and Flux Core as required.
• Fit and tack piping components to proper alignment prior to welding.
• Install process piping utility piping valves supports hangers instruments and related components.
• Verify dimensions tolerances and fit-up quality before welding.
• Inspect completed welds and piping systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Repair modify or replace piping systems as needed.
• Operate grinders drills cutting torches beveling equipment threading machines and other fabrication tools.
• Operate forklifts telehandlers and other material-handling equipment when authorized.
• Safely rig lift and position materials using slings chains shackles hooks and other rigging equipment.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies site-specific requirements and quality control procedures.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.

Skills/Abilities

• Demonstrated experience in industrial pipe fitting and pipe welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints isometric drawings P&IDs and construction documents.
• Thorough understanding of pipe fabrication layout and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret welding symbols weld procedures and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of industrial piping materials fittings valves and support systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot fit-up alignment and welding issues.
• Positive attitude strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial pipe fitting and welding experience preferred.
• Current welding certifications are preferred.
• Must be able to work long and flexible hours including weekends when required.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position including lifting up to 50 pounds climbing kneeling and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel and work at various project locations.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Valid drivers license preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
