We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Dalton Georgia facility. This position will be 1st shift with a schedule of 5 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Starting rate for this position is $28.00 and up depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment to ensure safe reliable and efficient operations. This position supports production by minimizing downtime completing work orders and maintaining compliance with company safety quality and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements and actively support a culture of safety.
  • Perform mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance on production and support equipment including mixers extruders dryers and related systems.
  • Complete preventive maintenance work orders and equipment improvement projects as assigned through the CMMS system.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Communicate effectively with production operators and supervisors regarding equipment conditions and repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities in the CMMS.
  • Maintain clean organized and safe maintenance and work areas.
  • Provide guidance to machine operators on proper equipment operation when necessary.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 35 years of industrial maintenance experience involving electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC drives variable frequency drives (VFDs) servo motors and controls wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC inputs and outputs (PLC programming not required).
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g. multimeters laptops micrometers calipers infrared measurement devices).
  • Experience with common shop equipment and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills including email Microsoft Office applications and CMMS systems.
  • Strong organizational troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC experience with process chillers.
  • Electro-Mechanical education training or certification.
  • Physical and Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand walk bend reach push pull stoop squat kneel and climb stairs as required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment including exposure to noise heat and mechanical equipment.

Additional Information

  • This position may require overtime shift work or on-call availability based on operational needs.
