The Industrial Maintenance Technician PLC & Automation supports the maintenance and reliability of highly automated production equipment. This role combines mechanical maintenance automation support and PLC troubleshooting to ensure safe efficient and uninterrupted operations. Ideal candidates have experience working in manufacturing distribution logistics or automated facilities.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair automated production and material handling equipment.
Troubleshoot PLC systems control circuits sensors and automation components.
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Repair conveyors motors pumps gearboxes and mechanical assemblies.
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to restore functionality.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
Support continuous improvement and downtime reduction initiatives.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in industrial maintenance automation or manufacturing operations.
Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of electrical controls motors sensors and industrial automation systems.
Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
Strong understanding of workplace safety standards.
Desired Qualifications:
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Mechatronics or Automation Technology.
Experience with automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
Experience with VFDs HMIs and industrial networking.
CMMS experience.
Electrical troubleshooting and controls experience.
