What Youll Do

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic you will maintain and repair plant and facility equipment playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly while maintaining a safe clean and organized work environment.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Routinely troubleshooting and repairing all plant and facility equipment
  • Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining parts and tools inventory
  • Controlling downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance
  • Installing new equipment as needed
  • Completing entries in the ERP system and accurately recording time worked to the appropriate job(s)
  • Operating a forklift as needed
  • Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor
  • Maintaining a clean orderly work area and complying with all OSHA and Puck rules and regulations

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED OR 36 months of related experience or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Industry experience


Physical Requirements

This is an active hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. Team members must be able to:

  • Stand walk bend kneel stoop twist crouch and crawl throughout the shift
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and communicate effectively
  • Maintain close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job team members are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles oil and grease and occasionally exposed to vibration. Team members occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and perform work from a variety of angles and body positions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Appropriate PPE is required and provided.
