Job Summary

Industrial Electrician Join a Stable Heavy Industrial Operation

We are hiring an experienced Industrial Electrician to support production at our specialized zinc and graphite mining operation in Gouverneur New York. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining troubleshooting and installing industrial electrical systems that keep critical mining and processing equipment operating safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for electricians with experience in mining heavy manufacturing power generation utilities pulp & paper or other industrial process facilities.

What Youll Do

  • Troubleshoot repair and maintain industrial electrical equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Install cable wiring and communication systems throughout the site.
  • Mount junction boxes control boxes and switch boxes.
  • Troubleshoot PLC panels VFDs/drives motors pumps generators transformers and electrical control systems.
  • Work with AC/DC electrical systems 420 mA instrumentation and industrial voltages up to 480V including medium-voltage systems.
  • Perform electrical terminations cable splicing including high-voltage splices.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Test and troubleshoot circuits motors fans controllers transformers and variable frequency drives.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to support safe reliable production.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in a safety-sensitive environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs.
  • Experience with AC/DC electrical systems drives motors and industrial controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical equipment and read electrical schematics.
  • Experience performing electrical installations terminations and cable splicing.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Industrial processing facilities

Experience with medium-voltage electrical systems instrumentation hoisting or crushing equipment and industrial automation is a plus.
