In-Home Direct Support Professional Specialist

Job Title: In-Home and Group Home Specialist Direct Support ProfessionalLocation:Cities Across Northern Minnesota (including but not limited to: Long Prairie Alexandria Burtrum Little Falls Browerville Staples)Schedule: Monday-Friday with availability between the hours of 8:30a-7:30p based on the needs of those we serve. E/O : $20 per hour (including Full-Time or Part-Time benefits based on schedule)Job Summary:Provide temporary support when there is a staff opening due to vacations leave of absences new intakes or in our group home in Long Prairie and/or 1:1 with individuals in their own homes or their familys individuals with mental health diagnoses and/or intellectual daily activities including: medication administration personal cares cleaning meal preparation and planningAccompany individuals into the community to facilitate their participation in various specific behavior plans and program goals to enhance the quality of life for those Qualifications:To be at least 21 years of ageProficiency in spoken and written English communicationHave a vehicle with current car insuranceHave an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services clearance from a DHS background StudyAbility to lift and transfer personsComfortable with providing personal cares to both males and females. Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities or mental health diagnosis.
