Overview
Hampton Lumber Sales is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our logistics team as an Import/Export Logistics Coordinator. This role will manage the end-to-end coordination of domestic and international shipments ensuring efficient cost-effective and compliant movement of goods across our supply chain. The Import/Export Logistics Coordinator works closely with sales carriers and external partners to dispatch shipments track orders and provide visibility into shipment activity. This position plays a critical role in supporting a fast-paced high-volume sales organization. This role will collaborate cross-functionally across the organization and contribute to continuous improvement in logistics processes and execution.

Responsibilities
- Dispatch and coordinate shipments across ports rail and warehouses ensuring efficient and on-time delivery
- Track and trace shipments across ocean rail and truck modes providing timely updates and proactively resolving delays or service disruptions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers managing scheduling accessorials and issue resolution
- Obtain evaluate and support negotiation of freight rates to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions
- Accurately enter and maintain shipment and freight data in systems (e.g. LumberTrack) ensuring data integrity and supporting freight audit processes
- Maintain and analyze reports on shipment activity costs and service performance; identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate import and export shipments ensuring compliance with trade regulations and accuracy of all required documentation
- Partner with warehouses and service providers for smooth flow of goods and inventory across locations
- Act as a liaison between sales carriers and customers delivering clear communication and high-quality service
- Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies claims and exceptions while developing solutions to mitigate supply chain disruptions

Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree preferred (preferably in Logistics Supply Chain or a related field)
- Experience with logistics and dispatching operations required
- Familiarity with transportation across port intermodal or other logistics channels is preferred
- Proficiency Outlook Excel Teams and other Microsoft Suite products
- Proficiency in relevant software such as LumberTrack or Transportation Management Systems is preferred
