Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

Handles customer enquiries and shipment documentation following MSCguidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Enter and monitor shipment information throughuseof MSC proprietary ITsystem.
  • Liaise with shippers consignees governmentagenciesand overseasofficesas necessary.
  • Assume documentary and customer service responsibility for all assigned shipments.
  • Maintain efficient oceanshipmentsdocumentation and correspondence.
  • Establish andmaintainpositiverelationshipwith customers.
  • Efficiently routing all files and shipments
  • Providetimelyandaccurateresponse to customer inquiriesregardingtransportation milestones and shipment details.
  • Observe corporate guidelines when addressing customer inquiriesregardingshipments.
  • Escalate unique or complex customer issues to theappropriate supervisorfor resolution when necessary.
  • Generate potential solutions to customer issues.
  • Provide feedbackregardingcurrent corporate practices and metricstoorder to support process efficiencies.
  • Presence required onsite 5 days per week
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degreepreferredor equivalent experience
  • English: advanced
  • Strong attention to details
  • Organized efficient and able to manage time effectively
  • Strong customer service mindset focused and responsive
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Great teamplayer
  • Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software

PREFERRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE EDUCATION

  • Prior experience insupply chain transportation shippinglogistics freightforwarding customer service call center administrative or clerical jobs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able tolift upto 15 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to commute to the designated office location
  • Presence required onsite 5 days per week

WORK AUTHORIZATION

  • Authorization to work in the U.S

This role requires working on-site in the office for five days aweek from Monday to Friday. There is no option for fully remote or hybrid workin this role unless required off-site duties are being performed.
