Implant Maintenance Technician

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Able to operate machinery required to refurbish ion implanter modules.
• Accurately document maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot issues with vacuum systems power supplies and source related issues.
• Collaborate with other maintenance techs on tool related issues.
• Follow safety protocols and cleanroom procedures including proper handling of hazardous gasses chemicals and to operate machinery required to refurbish ion implanter modules.

Education & Experience

• Associate degree in Electronics Mechanical Engineering Technology or related technical field or equivalent military/industry experience.
• 2 years of experience maintaining semiconductor equipment ideally ion implantation tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical electrical and vacuum systems.
• Familiarity with implant systems such as Axcelis Varian or Applied Materials.
• Comfortable working with high-voltage vacuum RF and gas delivery systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics manuals and technical drawings.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment wearing full PPE.

Skills & Other Requirements

Working Conditions

• 8-hour shift: 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday
• Comfortable in a clean room attire (bunny suit)

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for the duration of the shift when needed
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

ITAR/EAR and Other Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident or protected individual).
• Compliance with all applicable export control regulations.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
