Immediate Start High School Co-Ed Soccer Assistant Coach

• Support the implementation of structured high-quality practices with consistency and attention to detail

• Execute drills and activities with clarity urgency and strong athlete engagement

• Reinforce team expectations for behavior effort and accountability

• Support athletes in managing emotions responding to adversity and meeting team expectations

• Model professionalism and consistently uphold team standards

• Maintain active supervision at all times (constant scanning proximity engagement)

• Support safe arrival transitions and dismissal procedures

• Follow all safety protocols consistently and without exception

• Immediately communicate any safety concerns to the Head Coach

• Accurately support attendance tracking for all practices and games

• Communicate promptly and professionally with the Head Coach regarding any concerns or updates

• Follow all internal protocols related to student eligibility behavior and participation

• Maintain alignment with coaching staff and program expectations at all times

• Support recruitment and engagement of athletes

• Assist with game-day logistics and team management

• Execute responsibilities with reliability consistency and attention to detail

Core Professional Expectations

• Demonstrate consistent reliable attendance and punctuality

• Follow the direction from the Head Coach and Athletics leadership

• Adhere strictly to all safety communication and organizational protocols

• Maintain professionalism and strong judgment at all times

• 12 years of coaching or youth program experience preferred

• Experience working with school-age children required

• Understanding of the sports rules and fundamentals required

• Ability to support youth development and behavior management

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• CPR/First Aid certification a plus

• Strong alignment with DREAMs mission and values

• End date:November 30

• Days & hours: Practice times are dependent on space. Leadership works with coaches to confirm the practice schedule once hired. Coaches will therefore require some flexibility in their availability. Teams typically practice for 6 hours per week. Typical practice windows are 6-8am on weekdays 4-8pm weekdays 1-7pm Fridays and/or Saturday mornings.

The rate for incoming Assistant Coaches is $30 per hour. The rate for incoming Assistant Coaches who are also DREAM full-time staff is a $3000 per season are eligible for annual compensation increases based on tenure in accordance with DREAMs compensation practices.
