Imaging Technologist MRI Full Time (40 hoursweek)

The global responsibility of this position and all positions within the department of Imaging Services is to provide quality diagnostic images comfort and care for patients and employees at KVH.  As a part of this all employees are responsible for seeking ways to provide input to continuously improve our operation and procedures.  The MRI technologist is responsible for reviewing imaging requests for appropriateness verification of physician orders and performance of the procedure in a safe caring and timely manner.  In addition the MRI technologist must consistently produce quality images for the radiologist to interpret and report to the requesting physician.  They must maintain a high level of professional expertise and assumes the responsibility for professional growth and development.  The art and practice of diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging requires in depth knowledge of human growth human anatomy and physiology proper anatomical positioning normal and abnormal pathology and physiological responses disabilities manifestations of diseases and trauma.

Qualifications :

What is required...

• Graduation from a Radiology education program under the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
• ARRT registration as Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT MRI certification or registry eligible with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current Washington State DOH Radiologic Technologist Certification
• Current American Heart Association BLS

What is preferred...

• One years experience in MRI

Additional Information :

Wage:  Wage range currently starts at $48.32/hour and goes up to $73.23/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience. This position may also qualify for an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.

FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
