Imaging Service Coordinator FT, Days

Essential Functions

• Prioritizes and schedules service demand for in-house patients; ensures patients approaching discharge have high scheduling priority. Re-assesses prioritization of patients with changing conditions. Manages service department order queue; coordinates service requests among both inpatient and outpatient schedules.

• Communicates with RN-Clinical Care Coordinators and Nursing to ensure patient readiness and completion of required prep and any additional information needed to schedule and to balance the patients itinerary.

• Collaborates with RN-Clinical care coordinators to address barriers to patient progression and escalate issues as appropriate.

• Communicates with Ancillary staff to address patient prep resource availability and staffing availability and adjust all ancillary services schedules as needed.

• Constructs optimal schedule for patients with multiple service requests (complex patients).

• Remains current on service departments specific service management policies and preferences.

• Creates transport requests to pull patients to service departments. Actively adjusts transport requests to ensure on-time service delivery.

• Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor manager director or executive.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education - Associate degree - Completion of an accredited radiology program

• Experience - Three (3) years as in-patient radiology technologist Experience serving as a lead tech or department coordinator preferred.
