Evaluates and solves problems related to collection and processing of biological specimens of analysis of all age in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory in terms of personnel equipment cost and establishment of reference intervals; writes and revises technical complex laboratory procedures; recognizes deviation from expected results; analyzes and corrects problems using scientific quality control data makes judgments concerning results and takes appropriate action to maintain accuracy and inquiries regarding test results methodology test specificity and sensitivity and specific factors that influence test all instrument indicators and temperature monitors for laboratory departmentsResponsible for maintaining self-competency in laboratory s degree (or Associates Degree for grandfathered personnel)Licenses and CertificationCLS or MT (ASCP) or equivalentNew MT Graduate must pass certification exam within 6 months of employment start date
