POSITION: IDEA ASSISTANT TEACHER-PARAPROFESSIONAL


COMMENCING DATE: July 23 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma
2. Completed at least 2 years of study (48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education; or
3. Obtained an associates (or higher) degree; or Passed the ACT WorkKeys-Reading for Information Applied Mathematics and Writing Subtests.
4. Interpersonal skills in working with students professional colleagues administration parents and community
5. Strong written and oral communication skills: grammar spelling punctuation
6. Good physical condition with ability to lift 50 pounds

JOB DESCRIPTION:Assist the teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and enhance student with specific needs related to student disabilities along with helping withtoileting as needed.


SALARY:Commensurate with the Ocean Springs salary schedule for classified positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
