As an organization we are aligned inspired and driven toward a common goal - believing that together the best life is possible!Job Summary:AbleLights IDD Investigation Manager is responsible for ensuring timely and effective incident management investigations of allegations of abuse neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults ensuring their immediate and long-term safety for all of AbleLight. The role involves field investigations interviewing evidence collection crisis intervention and coordination and serving as a key liaison between compliance Operations HR and Quality teams and external agencies facilitating a coordinated approach to Abuse Neglect and Exploitation (ANE) incident resolution and trend Duties:Intake Triage & Case AssessmentReceive and review reports of suspected abuse neglect or exploitation of adults. Determine case priority and response time based on risk level and state regulations. Conduct initial safety assessments to identify immediate dangers. Notifications and Escalations: Ensure all required notifications are completed and escalate issues as necessary to leadership and external InvestigationInterview alleged victims caregivers witnesses and alleged perpetrators. Gather and document evidence including photographs statements and records. Evaluate physical emotional environmental and financial risk factors. Conduct home visits and onsite investigations as Documentation & ReportingMaintain detailed accurate case notes and investigative reports. Document findings in accordance with AbleLight policies and state regulations. Prepare reports that meet all regulatory requirements and may be used in legal & CoordinationWork closely with all internal and external stakeholders making referrals as Intervention & Safety PlanningDevelop and implement safety plans for vulnerable adults. Provide emergency interventions when necessary. Work with operations to ensure appropriate temporary shelter medical care or protective orders when Case ManagementMonitor client safety and service effectiveness. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Close cases once safety and service goals are -Up and Trend Identification: Ensure thorough follow-up on incidents track trends and identify systemic issues to mitigate future risks. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports to leadership on incident trends resolution effectiveness and compliance with state laws. Training & Education: Assist in the development and implementation of abuse prevention and mandatory reporting Skill and Abilities for Success in the Role:Social work principles and crisis intervention techniquesState APS statutes rules and of physical emotional and financial abuseCommunity resources and service systemsInterviewing and evidencegatheringCritical thinking and independent judgmentDeescalation and crisis managementStrong written and verbal communicationTime management and organizationWork with vulnerable adults experiencing trauma or cognitive with multidisciplinary partnersMinimum Job Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology Human Services Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent in social services investigations and/or case 123
