Job Summary

Registered Nurse is a compassionate licensed professional who delivers safe high-quality patient- and family-centered care through the full nursing process: assessment diagnosis planning implementation and evaluation. You will coordinate individualized patient education guide and supervise ancillary team members collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and consistently uphold professional nursing standards. All practice must align with the New Mexico Nurse Practice Act hospital policies procedures and current evidence-based ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough patient assessments and develop implement and evaluate individualized care direct patient care across the lifespan while promoting optimal health clear culturally sensitive education to patients and families supporting health literacy and successful transitions of and supervise licensed practical nurses nursing assistants and other ancillary accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health effectively with physicians therapists and the broader care in quality improvement patient safety initiatives and ongoing professional to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation and additional duties as assigned to support hospital operations and patient Environmental & Psychological ConsiderationsFrequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens body fluids infectious diseases and biohazardous occurs primarily in a temperature-controlled hospital setting with occasional exposure to varied sounds odors and emotionally challenging be physically able to lift position and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive to work effectively under stress respond calmly to emergencies and maintain strong problem-solving and coping -oriented adaptable and resilient in dynamic clinical -Specific QualificationsIntensive Care Unit (ICU)Current BLS and ACLS and NRP required within 12 months of to interpret EKGs and care for critically ill education or experience in critical care QualificationsCurrent New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent).Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and clinical experience that provide the knowledge skills and abilities needed for the assigned interpersonal communication and critical-thinking to deliver compassionate culturally competent care to patients of all ages (pediatric through geriatric).Strong team player with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced to professional growth and lifelong learning.
