Position Summary
The ICL / Picker is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy while supporting daily warehouse operations. This role balances inventory control responsibilities with order picking and replenishment to ensure product availability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented safety-focused and comfortable operating powered industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control
- Receive and process late arriving trucks.
- Perform daily inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Complete STO (Stock Transfer Order) transactions for inbound and outbound product.
- Investigate inventory issues and partner with leadership to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse systems.
Warehouse Operations
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently during daily production.
- Replenish pick locations to ensure product availability.
- Replenish the cooler during scheduled picker break periods.
- Support warehouse recovery efforts throughout the shift.
- Empty the baler as needed while following all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
Equipment Operation
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment including:
- Forklift
- Electric Pallet Rider
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Follow all PIT safety procedures and company policies
Success in This Role
A successful ICL / Picker will:
- Maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Resolve inventory issues proactively.
- Support efficient picking and replenishment operations.
- Work safely while operating PIT equipment.
- Demonstrate flexibility by transitioning between inventory control replenishment and picking responsibilities based on business needs.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications :
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory control cycle counting or warehouse inventory management.
- Certified or experienced operating forklifts and electric pallet riders.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems preferred.
- Ability to lift push pull and move products safely throughout the shift.
