Job Summary

Job Title: IAM Engineer
Location: Brooklyn NY (Onsite/Hybrid as required)
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to support critical infrastructure and identity services in a 247 operational environment. This role is part of a high-impact team responsible for ensuring secure reliable access across both cloud and on-premise systems supporting mission-critical applications.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in IAM technologies strong problem-solving abilities and experience working in complex enterprise environments requiring high availability.

Key Responsibilities
IAM Engineering & Administration
  • Design implement and maintain enterprise IAM solutions
  • Manage identity lifecycle authentication and authorization processes
  • Implement and enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models
Active Directory & Entra ID
  • Administer and support Active Directory (AD) environments
  • Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) including identity synchronization and cloud integration
  • Perform directory services engineering upgrades and troubleshooting
Infrastructure & Platform Support
  • Support both cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments
  • Provide operational support for IAM-related platforms and tools
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of identity services
IAM Operations & Support
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for IAM-related issues
  • Participate in 247 support rotation including after-hours support as needed
  • Troubleshoot authentication authorization and access-related incidents
Security & Compliance
  • Implement secure authentication protocols such as:
    • LDAP
    • SAML
    • OAuth
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards
  • Translate business requirements into secure IAM solutions
Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver IAM-related projects
  • Support multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and technical teams
Required Qualifications
  • 12 years of hands-on experience in IAM design implementation and support
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Active Directory
    • Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • LDAP SAML OAuth
  • Proven experience delivering complex IAM projects
  • Strong understanding of RBAC and identity governance principles
  • Excellent troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
  • Knowledge of browser access controls and endpoint security
  • Experience in hybrid cloud identity environments
