I & E Technician Internship

Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safely oriented I&E Technician Internship with an excellent mechanical problem solving aptitude with great trouble shooting skills to join our El Dorado AR team!

TheElectrical and Instrumentation Technician Internshipwill be learning and performing hands-on instrument checks calibrations and troubleshooting PLCs along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Wage: $20hr

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
• Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and installation
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required
• Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
• Installs cabling power distribution systems and motor control centers
• Services and replaces motors and lighting
• Performs general electrical maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

What does it take to work for Synergy a Clean Harbors Company

• 2 years combined of plant experience and related education preferred

• Instrument and/or electrical training degree or certification preferred

• Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics

• Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID)

• VFD troubleshooting and installation experience a plus!

• Three phase 480v

• Must be able to pass a paper test
