Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus located in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital offers medical surgical emergency obstetric and critical care services.
In March 2012 the Cotton Family Birth Center at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital was designated a Baby-Friendly birth center by Baby-Friendly USA. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center a leading-edge hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.
Scope of work
Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy under the direction of the Hyperbaric Technical Director physician and technologists. Performs duties under the physiologic stresses of the hyperbaric environment. The technician monitors patients before during and after hyperbaric therapy and is responsible for the safe operation of the hyperbaric chamber. Assists in the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications
Education / Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Must be a registered Paramedic EMT Respiratory Therapist Military Corpsman or other allied health professional as indicated by the NBDHMT.
Required Board Certification in Hyperbaric Medicine Preferred
Work Experience:
0-3 years experience. Required
Certification Licensure Registration:
LIC-Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire Required Or
LIC-Paramedic License - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire Required Or
LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire Required Or
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire Required Or
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire Required Or
CRT-Hyperbaric Technologist Certified (CHT) - NBDHMT National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology Upon Hire Preferred
