Tekberry is seeking a dedicated Student Services Officer to support our client Stanford University within the Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD). This role serves as a key resource for students faculty and internal stakeholders by coordinating student services activities managing administrative processes and ensuring a positive student experience throughout the academic lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have experience in higher education environments strong communication skills and familiarity with student information systems such as PeopleSoft.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for student inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Advise and assist students regarding policies procedures deadlines and program requirements
Coordinate and support student onboarding registration enrollment and related administrative processes
Maintain accurate student records and ensure data integrity within student information systems
Utilize PeopleSoft and other university systems to process student transactions and generate reports
Collaborate with faculty academic departments and university partners to support student success initiatives
Assist with scheduling communications and logistics related to student programs and events
Research and resolve student issues while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures
Prepare reports correspondence presentations and other program-related documentation
Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend process enhancements to improve the student experience
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working in higher education academic administration student affairs or student services
Experience utilizing PeopleSoft or similar student information systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience within Stanford University or another higher education institution
Experience supporting adult learners professional education programs or continuing studies environments
Familiarity with university policies academic processes and enrollment procedures
Experience coordinating events orientations or student engagement initiatives
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Hybrid role with onsite presence required every Tuesday
Primarily desk-based work involving extensive computer use
Frequent interaction with students faculty and university stakeholders
Occasional participation in meetings events and program activities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a service-oriented environment
