Job Summary

Facilities Maintenance

HVAC Technician / Electrician

2026-2027

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for maintaining repairing troubleshooting and installing HVAC systems electrical equipment and related building systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas Drivers License
  • Knowledge of HVAC repairs maintenance and installation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints diagrams schematics and written reference material
  • Applicant must live within school district or be within a reasonable driving distance to answer after-hour or weekend calls when necessary.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONBILITIES:

  • Under general supervision maintain repair and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems
  • Repair replace or calibrate controls including thermostats and switches
  • Install new heating and a/c systems and components and relocate and expand existing systems as needed
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for all HVAC equipment including changing of filters and cleaning condensors and coils
  • Receive and complete work orders
  • Other duties as assigned
