Data Center Multi Skilled Operator II - HVAC Technician

We are seeking a hands-on Multi-Skilled Operator II HVACTechnicianto support data center facility operations in Lenoir NC. This role is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and repairing HVAC mechanical electrical and control systems critical to reliable facility performance.

This is a multi-skilled position requiring a technician who is familiar working in all aspects of mechanical and HVAC maintenance including RTUs package units cooling towers refrigeration systems plumbing piping electrical components and control systems. The ideal candidate is not afraid to get their hands dirty and takes ownership of maintaining safe and reliable facility operations.

Location: On Site in Lenoir NC

Schedules Available

Full-Time - 40 hours weekly with some OTopportunities

Shift Schedule (1): Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Full-Time 10% - 36 and 48 hour weeks alternating with more OT opportunities

Shift Schedule (2): 4 days on 3 off 3 on 4 off Front-half and Back-half of the week Days 7:00am-7:00pm

Shift Schedule (3): 4 dayson 3 off 3 on 4 offFront-half and Back-half of the week Nights7:00pm-7:00am

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC System Oversight and Troubleshooting:

• Conductdaily HVAC-related maintenance activities ensuring adherence to schedules safety and quality standards.
• Monitor HVAC performance andcoordinatetroubleshooting efforts with client and fellowteam members to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate seasonal HVAC operations such as winterization and peak cooling preparations.
• Ensure system efficiency through performance testing and routine system evaluations / maintenance.

Computer and Reporting Skills:

• Utilize computer-based systems( CMMS Microsoft Office etc.) to manage work orders preventive maintenance logs and HVAC performance data.
• Maintainaccurateand up-to-date documentation of HVAC operations asset history and inventory.
• Create andsubmitdaily progress reports toclient facilities engineers.

Emergency HVAC Support Duties:

• Serve as a point of escalation for HVAC issues arising during your shift.
• Coordinate emergency response actions and communicate status updates in real-time with site management.
• Ensure readiness for critical facility scenarios.

General Facility Maintenance Support:

• Perform and oversee minorlow-voltageelectrical and plumbing work related to HVAC systems.
• Conduct facility walk-throughs ensuring the workspace is clean organized and safe.
• Support broader site maintenance projects as needed collaborating across trades.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in HVAC maintenance. Experience with commercial or critical infrastructure preferred.
• HVAC Certification: EPA 608 certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hiring is required.Additional electrical plumbing or mechanical certifications are a plus.
• Technical Skills: Apprentice-level working knowledge in HVAC diagnostics repair and preventive care with attention to energy efficiency.
• Communication:Effectivewritten and verbal communication skillstoengage with clients vendors and leadership effectively.
• Computer Skills:Basic knowledgein using CMMS platforms Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook. Ability to interpret digital HVAC system controls and reports.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to assess and identify complex HVAC and facility issues quickly.
• Safety-Oriented: Deep understanding of OSHA standards and commitment to safety in all operations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 40lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
• Ability to bend stoop kneel and reach for equipment related tasks
• Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
• Clear vision with or without correction to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
• Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs labels and cables
• Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme temperatures rain or snow
• Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
• Possession of a valid drivers license for work-related travel as required
• High School Diploma or GED Required

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
The base pay range for this role is $34.00 - $36.00 per hour. This range reflects a goodfaith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire based on factors such as skills experience education and market/location.
