Installs diagnoses repairs and maintains heating ventilation to a variety of equipment including refrigeration air conditioning electric motors heating units heat pumps hermetic compressors commercial furnaces boilers burners intake and exhaust fans economizers humidifiers capacity controls semi-hermetic compressors split systems flame safeguard controls air compressors air driers and packaged units throughout the district. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose repair and install plant mechanical systems in pulp and paper manufacturing industry.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment like conveyors and presses
Read mechanical prints and diagrams (including HVAC systems)
Experience 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Excellent teamwork cooperation and problem-solving skills.
- Critical thinking; predictive and preventative maintenance finding root cause of failure.
- Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Ability to work alone with a partner or as a member of a team maintaining safety quality & productivity.
- Engage in preventative maintenance processes through facility.
- Willingness to cross train and learn new skills in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
- Able to work with computer system for maintenance processes stores and work order.
- Ability to work overtime weekends and holidays as needed by the assigned location
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education High school diploma or GED. Completion of a postsecondary HVAC training program or formal apprenticeship is highly preferred.
Experience 3-5 years of experience
Certification/License - Driver License

Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions temperature extremes noise dust fumes moving equipment vibration and other site-specific hazards. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer site regulatory medical and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety quality and productivity expectations.
