HVAC Residential Service Technician A

Requirements

• Technical school certification or equivalent experience
• Proven success at the diagnosis and repair of complex problems on HVAC residential systems without daily supervision
• Complete understanding of refrigerant cycle
• Proficient at reading and understanding residential schematics
• Able to be on the on call schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
• Proven success at educating customers on products and services offered by the company including replacement systems and maintenance agreements
• Able to read write and speak English
• Demonstrated ability to complete paperwork properly and according to procedure
• Valid drivers license
• Able to lift pull and/or push 75 pounds
• Able to climb ladders and work off scaffolding
• Able to sit stand bend stoop kneel and reach for extended periods of time
• Furnish own hand tools
• Committed to the values of initiative responsibility caring relationships integrity and innovation
• Able to complete a pre-employment physical test

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential oil and gas heating equipment air conditioning units and heat pump units
• Complete residential preventative maintenance on heating and cooling equipment
• Train other technicians
• Provide all customers with consistent quality service in accordance with company procedure
• Positively promote the companys products and services developing equipment leads and selling service contracts
• Assist other team members to achieve maximum success safety and efficiency
• Maintain required truck inventory as audited
• Maintain a neat appearance in proper clean uniform at all times
• Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and maintain a clean vehicle at all times
• Perform all duties in a safe manner ensuring incident-free operations
• Able to operate Astea handheld device
• Report any incident or accident as soon as possible to the Residential Service Operations Manager/Home Services Project Manager
