HVAC Lead Project Technician, Commercial

We are looking for an HVAC Lead Project Technician to oversee HVAC projects from planning through completion in Richmond VA.

Pay: $25-$45/HR. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicants experience skills abilities geographic location and alignment with market data.

Here is some of your day:

• Develop and manage project schedules submittals and documentation.
• Oversee project financials including cost controls and change orders.
• Coordinate with estimators for large-scale changes; handle smaller change orders independently.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients subcontractors and internal teams.
• Utilize project management software (QuickBase Procore or similar) for tracking and reporting.

Heres who were looking for:

Required

• 5 years of project management experience in HVAC and mechanical with strong knowledge of project scheduling cost control and documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel and project management tools and a valid state-issued drivers license (travel to job sites required)

Preferred

• A bachelors degree in construction management Business or a related field
• Supervisory experience in a project-oriented environment
• Familiarity with mechanical systems (chillers boilers building controls)
• PMP or CPM certification
