Position Summary

MassDOT is seeking a highly organized and motivated Human Resources Project Management Co-Op to support key HR initiatives. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public sector human resources with a focus on project coordination process improvement and workforce development.

The Co-Op will work under the guidance of the HR Program Director and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects that enhance the employee experience improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of HR projects including process improvements change management efforts and initiatives aligned with MassDOTs strategic plan
  • Track project timelines milestones and deliverables using project management tools and internal systems
  • Support the development of reports presentations and data analyses related to HR programs and initiatives
  • Coordinate meetings prepare materials and document meeting notes and action items
  • Collaborate with HR staff and departments across MassDOT to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
  • Support compliance efforts by maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with state guidelines
