Summary/Objective
The Human Resources Generalist is a key role within the organization. This position is onsite 5 days a week and will focus heavily on payroll and benefits administration recruiting and hiring staff training and development and administrative support for the department.

Payroll processing for weekly and semi-monthly cycles.
Recruiting support
Open enrollment
Provisioning and deprovisioning of employees
On-boarding and new hire orientation
Benefits invoice reviews
Reporting overtime position control payroll audits
Compliance - Ensure all HR policies adhere to local state and federal employment laws and maintain confidential employee records.
Assist with employee training
Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience
CARITAS is a drug free workplace.
Bachelors degree and 3-5 years of progressive professional experience or equivalent combination of education experience and training (preferred)
Direct hands on Payroll experience is required
Proficiency with Microsoft and Google related office tools
Outstanding customer service skills and a high degree of professionalism
Knowledge of principles and procedures related to multiple HR areas such as: benefits compensation employee relations compliance recruitment succession HR Information Systems
Excellent oral and written communication in daily interactions
Sound knowledge of and ability to perform multiple HR functions
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and effectively prioritize assignments
Must possess a valid Virginia state drivers license and have knowledge of all federal state and local compliance and safety regulations. The ability to work with contractors and outside suppliers and work well with our client population is necessary. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
