The HR Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the onboarding process performing new hire orientation and assisting the Talent Acquisition Specialists with the recruitment process. The position reports to the HR Manager Talent Acquisition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate the pre-employment and onboarding process for faculty staff visiting instructors students adjuncts volunteers and standardized patients.
Track all pre-employment results and communicate any discrepancies to the talent acquisition team.
Conduct the weekly new hire orientation program for faculty and staff new hires and assist in the organization of bi-annual new hire orientation programs.
Process letters of agreement.
Assist department managers with temporary worker needs by partnering with staffing agencies.
Post job ads on external job websites and track advertisement expenses.
Conduct reference checks on staff applicants.
Process and review invoices for pre-employment testing recruitment related expenses and other HR related expenses.
Electronically file employee documentation and recruitment files and perform audits of electronic filing.
Review original diplomas/certifications for credential updates in the HRIS system.
Maintain department calendar conference room reservations and weekly wrap-up information.
Provide courteous and helpful front desk support to the HR office.
Other duties as assigned.

Must have a high school diploma or GED with at least 1-2 years of work experience in Human Resources or a bachelors degree in a Human Resources related field with at least 1 year of professional office experience. Previous experience supporting recruiting and onboarding is highly desired.
Computer Skills
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel Outlook).Previous experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems preferred.
