Job Summary
Responsibilities The National Aerospace and Cyber & Intelligence Sector HR Team has an opportunity for a mid-career Human Resources Business Partner who delivers beyond transactional by being a strategic partner. This role is best suited for someone who is experienced as an HRBP and is energized by the idea of HR adding value to the business. The work can be complex; you will be challenged but also supported and encouraged to grow. What Youll Do Demonstrates curiosity about the big picture and an eagerness to understand how HR connects to broader business goals; willing to dig into details to support team objectives Takes initiative to contribute to HR projects and programs from early stages assist in developing plans and processes and follow through on assigned tasks within established timelines Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with peers stakeholders and cross-functional teams Ability to anticipate and identify issues gather relevant information and propose thoughtful solutions with guidance from senior HR partners Willingness to ask the right questions to understand a problem research options and support the delivery of appropriate HR solutions and resources Comfortable working with data and metrics; ability to support workforce analysis and translate findings into actionable insights with direction from leadership Foundational understanding of employee relations principles; ability to approach sensitive situations with objectivity professionalism and fairness Ability to clearly document HR processes summarize findings and draft professional communications related to HR and employee relations matters Able to manage multiple tasks remain flexible and maintain productivity in a fast-paced dynamic environment Supports positive interactions between employees and leadership by serving as an approachable and reliable HR resource Demonstrates sound judgment in handling sensitive information and communicates with appropriate discretion based on role and context Qualifications Bachelors degree in HR Business or a related field 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner generalist or related HR function Solid understanding of HR practices including performance management employee relations and employment law basics Ability to give receive and implement constructive feedback Positive adaptable mindset when priorities shift or processes evolve Comfort working effectively in ambiguous circumstances Strong interpersonal and communication skills that aid in building trust quickly Confidence to interact with business leaders at all levels Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance Must be a US citizen Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a government contracting workforce Familiarity with HR platforms like Workday and iCIMS HR Certification (HRCI or SHRM) Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Target Salary Range $66000 - $106000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
