The Opportunity
Were looking for a dynamic Human Resources Manager who is both strategic and this role youll be a key partner to leadership helping to build a thriving workplace culture while ensuring our people practices align with our mission and growth.

Youll lead all aspects of HR from talent acquisition to employee engagement while serving as a trusted advisor to staff and leadership alike.


What Youll Do
Strategic Leadership & Culture
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Champion a positive inclusive and high-performing workplace culture
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations organizational development and change management
Talent & Employee Experience
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment to attract mission-aligned talent
  • Design and enhance onboarding experiences that set employees up for success
  • Develop engagement and retention initiatives that support employee satisfaction

Performance & Development
  • Implement and manage performance management systems
  • Create training and professional development programs
  • Identify growth opportunities that align employee goals with organizational needs
Compliance & HR Operations
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
  • Stay current on HR trends regulations and best practices
Compensation Benefits & Administration
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive
  • Collaborate with brokers to evaluate and manage benefits and insurance plans
  • Support payroll processing through accurate documentation
  • Manage insurance renewals and related administrative processes


What You Bring
Education & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in HR Business Administration Organizational Development or related field (or Associates degree with 6 years of relevant experience)
  • 2 years of HR experience (more is welcome we value depth of experience)
  • Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment preferred
  • HR certification (or willingness to obtain within the first year)
Skills & Strengths
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural competency
  • Experience with HR systems (BambooHR is a plus)
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
