Job Summary
Were looking for a dynamic Human Resources Manager who is both strategic and this role youll be a key partner to leadership helping to build a thriving workplace culture while ensuring our people practices align with our mission and growth.
Youll lead all aspects of HR from talent acquisition to employee engagement while serving as a trusted advisor to staff and leadership alike.
What Youll Do
Strategic Leadership & Culture
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Champion a positive inclusive and high-performing workplace culture
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations organizational development and change management
- Lead full-cycle recruitment to attract mission-aligned talent
- Design and enhance onboarding experiences that set employees up for success
- Develop engagement and retention initiatives that support employee satisfaction

Performance & Development
- Implement and manage performance management systems
- Create training and professional development programs
- Identify growth opportunities that align employee goals with organizational needs
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
- Stay current on HR trends regulations and best practices
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive
- Collaborate with brokers to evaluate and manage benefits and insurance plans
- Support payroll processing through accurate documentation
- Manage insurance renewals and related administrative processes
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in HR Business Administration Organizational Development or related field (or Associates degree with 6 years of relevant experience)
- 2 years of HR experience (more is welcome we value depth of experience)
- Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment preferred
- HR certification (or willingness to obtain within the first year)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
- High emotional intelligence and cultural competency
- Experience with HR systems (BambooHR is a plus)
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- You care deeply about people and organizational culture
- Youre proactive adaptable and solutions-oriented
- You thrive in environments where you can build improve and innovate
- Youre as comfortable in strategy discussions as you are rolling up your sleeves
