SUMMARY/SCOPE:
The Student Worker provides administrative and academicsupport to the faculty and staff at the Hardin-Simmons University School ofNursing. This role involves performing clerical duties assisting with specialprojects and supporting faculty in the preparation of educational student worker must demonstrate strong organizational skills attention todetail and an ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitiveinformation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with general office tasks such as filing photocopying and answering phone calls.
Provide administrative support to nursing faculty including preparing class materials grading papers and organizing syllabi.
Manage inventory of office and classroom supplies and assist with restocking when necessary.
Help coordinate and set up for meetings conferences and special events.
Serve as a liaison between faculty and students communicating information as needed.
Assist with research projects or data entry for nursing faculty.
Support in maintaining clinical logs student attendance and evaluation forms.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of simulation labs and classrooms.
Perform other duties as assigned by faculty or administrative staff.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
Currently enrolled as a student at Hardin-Simmons University.
Must be in good academic standing.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Respect for confidentiality and ethical standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primarily an indoor office-based position with some time spent in classrooms or labs. May involve light lifting and setting up equipment for meetings or events.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Flexible hours ideally fitting around the students class schedule.
Interest or enrollment in the nursing program at Hardin-Simmons University.
Previous office or customer service experience is an asset.
