SUMMARY/SCOPE:

Performsadministrative and office activities for Office of Global Engagement. Assistswith a variety of offices tasks to support international student services andthe immigration needs for F-1 visa holders and other visa status students atthe university. Serves as a contributing member to new projects that willbenefit international student services and the required tasks to maintain theOffice of Global Engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist andexecute various projects assigned by supervisor to fulfill department goals ofserving current international students well and advancing HSUs globalinitiatives.

Work with andcommunicate with internal and external groups that interact and work with ouroffice. Relay important information needed to complete projects throughe-mails phone calls memos letters and other communication methods asneeded.

Serveinternational students who come into the office answer their basic questionsand in general help them get what they need as they study with us at HSU. Guideand direct them as needed to other campus offices who also need to assist them.

Maintainimportant documentation and files regarding projects and work in the office.

Perform mailroom and office inbox duties as well as mail distribution between offices.

Represent HSUsglobal engagement efforts at functions as assigned.

Assist withinternational community newsletter.

Manage andcurate content for our Instagram and Facebook page fostering engagement andgrowth.

Assist inplanning and implementation of international student arrivals and orientationsessions.

Assist GlobalEngagement and International Student Fellowship in coordinating InternationalWeek events.

Otheradministrative duties as assigned.

Current HSU Student

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit for long periods of time while performing office functions. Occasional light lifting may be required.
