CONTACT INFORMATION:Arthur Garza or Dr. John Neese at SUMMARY/SCOPE: The graduate student workers will be responsible for implementingstrength and conditioning methods and practices with respective Hardin SimmonsUniversity sports. as well as assistingthe head strength and conditioning coach with day to day operations such ascleaning organizing scheduling and ensuring proper communication isconsistent with all affiliated university staff and administration. Each graduate student worker must beoutstanding citizens with the upmost character and desire to develop athletesphysically mentally and spiritually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The graduate student workers will overseeorganizing and instructing training sessions among each of their respectiveuniversity sports including but not limited to strength training speed andagility techniques proper conditioning training injury prevention andoverall well-being of every Hardin Simmons University athlete. Along with strength and conditioningtrainings sessions the graduate positions will need to have a background inMicrosoft Excel have an understanding of up-to-date technological platformssuch as social media applications organize and keep track of weight roomcleaning schedules each week develop communication channels among HSU coachesand athletic trainers and prioritize the development of Hardin SimmonsUniversity athletes in every respective characteristic becoming of a Christianstudent athlete. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree (preferred in the field ofexercise science) Minimumone year of strength and conditioning experience in intercollegiate athletics PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must beable to physically move heavy equipment in loads of 100 pounds or more multipleyards of distance. Also must be able todemonstrate and perform various strength movements as well as speed and agilitytechniques as well. Will be able toaccommodate for disabilities if needed. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Graduatestudent workers must be able and willing to complete early morning duties aswell as assist in occasional weekend sporting activities. Hours will be based off a flexible scheduleso candidates must be readily adaptable to any circumstance or situation.
