Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and implement health safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance across site operations
  • Identify and assess workplace risks recommending effective control measures in collaboration with the HSE team
  • Manage and analyze environmental health and safety data ensuring accurate tracking reporting and communication of key metrics
  • Lead or support incident investigations ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive awareness alignment and continuous improvement on health safety and environmental priorities

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in industrial hygiene health and safety engineering or related field or a minimum of four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum three years of experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of United States regulations including Environmental Protection Agency Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Nuclear Regulatory Commission
  • Experience managing hazardous waste and supporting environmental health and safety compliance activities

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience or training in radiation safety

The salary for this position is expected to range between $89600 and $166400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like but not limited to relevant skills and experience and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and depending on the level of the role eligibility to be considered for annual equity -based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health life and disability benefits a 401(k) with company contribution and match and a variety of other addition employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation personal days holidays and other leaves.
