JOB SUMMARY:
HR Business Partners perform a specialized type of HR work focused on HR consulting to the business including: HR consulting and coaching (e.g. working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment including hiring termination performance management rewards etc.) Enabling business change (e.g. supporting the talent aspects of organization structure changes talent integration related to mergers & acquisitions etc.) HR program advocacy (e.g. communicating the business value of HR initiatives managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption etc.) Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives (e.g. workforce planning hi-potential employee development succession planning etc.)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Individuals in these roles have a functional knowledge focus and are primarily responsible for achieving results through their own work and through teams that they may be part of.
- Requires the application of theoretical knowledge typically gained through formal education (i.e. a postsecondary degree) and on the job training..
- Progression within the levels reflects increased functional expertise scope and complexity of work and ability to influence others.
- May mentor coach and/or train less experienced co-workers.
- Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices techniques and standards.
- General application of concepts and principles.
- Growing/Building knowledge of company processes and customers.

- Exercises judgment within defined policies and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
- Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.

- Represents organization on specific projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads hourly recruiting including sourcing screening interviewing hiring new employee orientation onboarding and off-boarding activities.
- Oversees internal job bidding process including reviewing job posting and identifying bids to be posted.
- Serves as primary point of contact for temporary agencies.
- Provides support on employee relations matters including investigations resolving conflict and communications in regards to employee questions issues or concerns.
- Supports culture and engagement initiatives that support morale recognition communication and inclusion.
- Serves as a strategic partner to business leaders aligning HR initiatives with operational goals.
- Partners with the HR Manager on compensation planning compliance training employee relations and engagement audit compliance and reporting.
Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:
- Follow all Plant rules Processes Hygiene and Allergens procedures related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints SQF audits validation and verification activities) as required.
- Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation
