Job Summary

The Human Resources Specialist serves as the initial point of information for staff. Dutieswill include application tracking interview scheduling and reporting functions of the college ensuring efficient and effective service to the faculty staff and students in all such related activities. They will assist with the Work4College of Job Duties:Serve as the central hub for HR operations including supporting the Director of HR in recruitment onboarding and providing support to employee inquiriesMaintain information on the NTCC PortalKeep online employee directory updatedProcess bi-weekly Work4College payrollAssist with Work4College orientationAssist in maintaining required HR files such as personnel payroll official transcripts DPS and I-9 filesOnboarding and employee support including performing background checks and assisting new hires in completion of required documentationComplete VOEs and Service Record requestsUpdate and issue quarterly Human Resources Department NewsletterMaintains Work4College employee data in human resources information systemsAssists with employee related events such as annual holiday lunch and service award presentationsCoordinate applicant tracking system regarding posting job openings to NTCC websitetracking employment applications and Work4College applicants coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communicationsAssist with auditing payroll reports for accuracy before payroll is disbursedMaintain official transcriptsMaintain confidentiality of all payroll benefits personnel and employment informationGenerate and track purchase orders for the HR Department and order supplies asneededProvide support for HR projects and initiatives as assignedPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorExperience and Other Qualifications Required:Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years experience in Human Resources preferredAbility to communicate effectively both orally and written is requiredAbility to work effectively and efficiently in a complex fast-paced environment with therequirement to manage multiple projectsDetail-orientedProficient in computer skillsSoftware knowledge Outlook Excel Word and PowerPointWorks independently but also able to work as a teamWorks closely and cooperatively with faculty and staffAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationStrong communication interpersonal and organizational skills are requiredStrategic creative and highly analytical Excellent Employee BenefitsHealth Dental Vision Life & Disability Insurance details Work/Life Balance Perks for EmployeesDollar Lunch Fit Center Access Educational Benefit Government Verizon Phone Plan Discount Purchase Programs Discount Facility Rentals Vacation & Sick Leave details To be considered for this position a complete application packet must be received including all the following: Cover letter of interest (please address your qualifications skills and knowledge as well as a secondary area of qualification if applicable.)Resume At least one letter of recommendation (this should come from a different reference than is listed on your applicaton)Transcript(s)
