Overview
Build the HR Function of a Fast-Growing Startup
Our client a rapidly growing workforce solutions startup is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead employment law compliance payroll governance and HR operations across a multi-state workforce.

This is a hands-on role for an HR professional who enjoys building processes solving compliance challenges and partnering with leadership to support business growth.

What Youll Do
  • Lead HR compliance across a growing multi-state workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws.
  • Manage onboarding offboarding I-9 compliance and employee documentation.
  • Oversee payroll compliance and employment tax requirements.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies procedures and employee handbooks.
  • Support employee relations investigations and performance management.
  • Monitor employment law changes and implement compliance updates.
  • Partner with leadership on HR strategy workforce planning and organizational growth.




Requirements
What Were Looking For
  • 5 years of HR experience within U.S.-based organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal employment law.
  • Experience supporting multi-state workforces.
  • Extensive experience with payroll compliance and wage & hour regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law (essential).
  • Knowledge of Georgia employment law highly preferred.
  • Experience in a startup EOR PEO staffing or workforce solutions environment is advantageous.
  • SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
