Job Summary

Compliance:
- Maintain current knowledge of federal state and local labor laws and ensure organizational compliance through policy updates and process improvements.
- Track and manage compliance-related deadlines filings and documentationmaintainingan accurateHR calendar of key obligations.
- Conduct regular audits of employee records documentation and HR processes to ensure adherence to regulations and identify risks or areas for improvement.
- Provide support duringstateauditsTitle IXinvestigations or compliance checks (background checks CT 16-67 reference checksdriving recordsetc.)
- Maintain and update employee files and HRISsystemas necessary.
- Support administration ofleave programsaccommodationsand policiesin accordancewithfederal and state laws (FMLACTFMLA CTPSLADA Pregnancy Discrimination Act WC and other state and federally protected leave or accommodation laws and regulations.)
- Ensure workers compensation program is managedin accordance withapplicable OSHA and workers compensation OSHA recordsin accordance withlaw and support annual grant activities. Serve onSafetyCommittee.
- PrepareannualEEO report.
- Oversee general attendance managementandwork with Payrollfortracking and allocationpurposes.
- Administer employee termination procedures;prepareâemployee separation notices and relatedâdocumentation; including coordinating responses forâunemployment notices.â
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Supportrecruitment efforts for programs across the phonescreensand career fairs when needed.
- Support theonboarding process for employeesincludingemployee orientation.
Employee Relations:
- First point of contact for employee relations including conducting investigations responding to employee complaints and recommendingappropriate resolutions.
- Provide basic guidance and coaching to supervisors and staff on employee relations matters and disciplinary actions in line with company policy and best practices.
- Draft and manage corrective action documentation and ensuretimelyandappropriate follow-through.
- Other duties asrequired.
The minimum qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of2yearsexperience inHuman Resources particularly withinemployee relations and compliance.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resourcesand/or SHMR Certificationpreferred.
- Mustpossessstrong interpersonaland conflict resolutionskills.
- Ability to workindependently andpart of ateam.
- Demonstratedhigh levelof confidentialityand attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Mustbe able to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
- This role requires on-site attendance.
Starting Salary Range $38.46 - $41.03 / per hour Non-Exempt 37.50 hrs per week
