Position Overview:

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Human Resources department with a primary focus on onboarding benefits administration compliance reporting and coordination of Learning and Performance Management. This position also serves as a backup resource for recruiting activities and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the HR function by assisting in a variety of HR initiatives and employee support programs.

Essential Functions:

Onboarding & Employee Integration

• Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process including preparing offer letters background checks I-9 verification orientation schedules and benefits enrollment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for new hires ensuring a smooth and positive onboarding experience.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system.

Benefits Administration

• Administer employee benefits programs including health dental vision life insurance and disability.
• Serve as liaison between employees and benefit providers to address and resolve benefits-related inquiries and issues.
• Assist with annual open enrollment benefit plan audits and benefits communications.

Learning and Performance Management

• Maintain and update employee training records and compliance certifications.
• Coordinate internal and external training sessions workshops and webinars.
• Partner with department leaders to monitor training outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
• Assist in curating training materials e-learning modules and job aids.
• Assist with yearly and quarterly review cycles.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Experience: 24 years of progressively responsible experience in an HR Generalist Benefits or HR Coordinator role.
• Certifications: PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS systems Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint). Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR policies procedures and compliance requirements including FMLA ADA FLSA EEO OSHA and other employment laws.

Working Conditions:

• Combination of in-office and remote work (3 days in office 2 days remote)
• General work environment sitting for long periods standing walking typing carrying pushing bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Employee Status: Full-time (Exempt)

Salary / Pay Range: $65-$80K
