Position Summary
Heraeus is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator with a strong emphasis on recruitment and talent acquisition to support our growing operations. This role is responsible for managing high-volume recruiting activities for manufacturing operations technical and professional positions while also supporting core HR functions including onboarding employee records administration compliance and employee support services.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills and is passionate about creating a positive candidate and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment (Primary Focus)
- Lead and coordinate full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly technical operational and professional positions.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs workforce planning and hiring priorities.
- Create and manage job postings across internal and external recruiting platforms.
- Source candidates through job boards networking referrals community partnerships and recruiting events.
- Screen resumes conduct phone interviews coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain accurate candidate data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Coordinate pre-employment activities including background checks drug screenings and onboarding documentation.
- Support recruiting initiatives for manufacturing and production environments with a focus on attracting high-quality talent.
- Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience that reflects Heraeus values and culture.
- Track recruiting metrics including open positions time-to-fill and hiring progress updates.
Human Resources Support
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Maintain employee personnel files HRIS records and compliance documentation.
- Assist employees with HR-related questions benefits enrollment and company policies.
- Support payroll and timekeeping administration by ensuring employee data accuracy.
- Assist with leave administration workers compensation tracking and employee accommodations.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support employee engagement initiatives training coordination and HR projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 2 years of HR coordination and/or recruiting experience required.
- High-volume recruiting experience in manufacturing industrial operations or technical environments strongly preferred.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication organization and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple openings and manage competing deadlines.
- Knowledge of federal and applicable state employment laws.
- Bilingual skills are a plus (Spanish preferred if applicable).
- HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer including frequent keyboarding and use of standard office equipment.
- Regular communication with candidates employees managers and external partners in person by phone and via virtual platforms.
- Ability to move throughout office warehouse laboratory and manufacturing environments as needed to support recruiting and HR activities.
- Occasional standing walking bending stooping reaching and climbing stairs during plant tours onboarding audits meetings and recruiting events.
- Ability to lift carry and transport recruiting materials office supplies or event equipment up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment and comply with all site-specific safety requirements including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- May require occasional local or regional travel to manufacturing facilities career fairs training sessions and community recruiting events.
- Must be able to visually assess work areas and read documents computer screens and safety information.
