The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department while helping deliver a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This position coordinates onboarding orientation training administration employee communications benefits support personnel records and HR compliance activities. The HR Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for employees and managers ensuring responsive customer service and accurate HR processes. The HR Coordinator ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include onboarding and orientation training and compliance administration employee engagement employee support benefits coordination and assigned HR projects.

• Coordinate onboarding and facilitate new hire orientation sessions ensuring alignment with Caminars mission values and policies.
• Partner with hiring managers to support timely and effective onboarding experiences tailored to each role location and program area.
• Ensure required onboarding documents are completed accurate and maintained in accordance with recordkeeping and compliance requirements.
• Monitor onboarding metrics and feedback to continuously improve processes.
• Track employee development progress and maintain accurate training records in the HRIS/LMS systems. Follow up with leaders to ensure compliance.
• Assist in coordinating employee recognition wellness and engagement activities.
• Conduct stay and exit interviews identify trends present findings and support recommendations that foster an engaged workforce.
• Foster a positive and inclusive workplace and culture in all communications and interactions.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to resolve employee inquiries related to policies benefits and general employment matters.
• Serve as a point of reference for employee benefits inquiries providing timely and accurate information.
• Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs including health dental vision retirement and wellness initiatives.
• Liaise with benefits providers to resolve employee issues and ensure compliance with benefit policies.
• Maintain electronic employee files to ensure compliance with Federal State and regulatory requirements.
• Acts with integrity and maintains confidentiality in all interactions.
• Assist with HR projects audits process improvement initiatives and other related duties or special projects as assigned.

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology or related field and two or more years of human resource work experience.
• A Human Resources professional certification (e.g. SHRM-CP PHR) is also highly desired.
• Experience in behavioral health and/or healthcare preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality a professional demeanor and to represent the organization in a positive manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to manage and respond timely to customer needs in a professional manner.
• Exhibits strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Dependable and reliable at work on time and adheres to the companys scheduling requirements.
• Uses equipment properly and adheres to safety and security requirements.
• Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently on special projects.

Position Requirements:

• Physical: Occasionally required to push/pull objects up to 50 lbs. and to lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing writing etc. Must be able to walk stand and sit for extended periods.
• Sensory: Frequently required to read documents written reports and plans. Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise as in answering the phone interacting with residents and staff etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language.
• Cognitive: Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas several at a time. Must be able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days.
• Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (residential/office) environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances dust and loud noises.
• Equipment: Frequently required to use a computer phone and printer machine.

Essential Requirements:

• Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII other licensing regulations and Caminar practices.
• This position may require limited occasional or frequent driving. If required a valid California drivers license a reliable personal vehicle and current personal auto insurance as required by law. Additionally an MVR sufficient to obtain and maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies is a key job requirement.
• Must be able to pass post offerpre-employment medical and drug tests as required under State Community Care Licensing regulations and/or agency policies.
• If applicable a personal cell phone with reliable service and a data plan to use for business purposes.
• May be required to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
