Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support for the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources Department. This role coordinates key HR processes including recruitment onboarding employee records management compliance employee communications and HR programs.
As a trusted resource for employees and leaders the HR Coordinator delivers timely accurate and professional support while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. Working closely with HR leadership and departments across the organization this position plays an important role in fostering a positive employee experience and supporting La Posadas mission values and organizational goals.
Essential Functions
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees candidates and visitors by phone email and in-person inquiries providing professional and timely assistance.
- Support the recruitment process by assisting with job postings applicant communication interview scheduling candidate follow-up and onboarding activities.
- Coordinate and process new hire transfer and employee change documentation to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records including personnel files employment documentation training records and other HR-related documents.
- Process verify and maintain HR documentation related to recruitment employee changes performance management training leaves of absence and other employment matters.
- Perform routine HRIS data entry and updates while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
- Maintain compliance records including I-9 documentation required audits and employment file reviews.
- Assist with background checks drug screenings TB testing and other pre-employment requirements.
- Coordinate employee onboarding activities including orientation scheduling new hire paperwork and communication with departments.
- Provide employees with information regarding HR policies procedures benefits and general employment-related questions while escalating issues as appropriate.
- Support employee engagement initiatives including recognition programs birthday and anniversary acknowledgments and HR events.
- Assist with planning coordinating and setting up employee training programs and HR-related events.
- Prepare HR communications reports presentations and other documents using Microsoft Office applications.
- Provide administrative support for payroll processes including responding to employee questions reviewing documentation and assisting with payroll-related tasks as needed.
- Manage office supply inventory and ordering for the Administration building.
- Assist with maintaining HR calendars scheduling meetings and coordinating department activities.
- Retrieve and provide employment information to authorized individuals and organizations while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and maintain the integrity of sensitive employee information.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Human Resources Manager or Vice President of Human Resources.

Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associate degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.
Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources office administration customer service or a related field required. Prior experience supporting HR functions employee records recruitment onboarding or HRIS systems preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to learn and effectively utilize HRIS applicant tracking systems and other department-specific software.
Bilingual English/Spanish required; must be able to read write and communicate effectively in both languages.
Work Environment
Work in an office environment which is climate controlled. May occasionally have to be outside exposed to temperature and varied weather conditions.
