Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • As the HR Coordinator for the Division of Classification Compensation Payroll and Leave; this position will provide operational and administrative support to the Division Director and HR branches.
  • The position oversees the screening and prioritization of division correspondence; prepares official communications; and serves as backup for key functions including budget management payroll and classification and compensation.
  • This position will coordinate the agencys telecommuting program maintains required rosters prepares quarterly reports and ensures compliance with state and agency policies.
  • The position will also be responsible for producing scheduled and special HR reports using SCEIS and SCEIS reporting systems; it will manage HR data access requests; and ensures accurate role assignments based on organizational structure and job requirements.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A bachelors degree and relevant experience.



SCDC Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree and one (1) year of relevant experience in human resources operations payroll processing or classification/compensation systems or progressive administrative support.
  • Additional relevant experience may equate for the required degree on a year for year basis.
  • Must have experience preparing and maintaining reports records or data using computer software systems.
Preferred Qualifications

Prefer experience with SCEIS HR/Payroll modules business objects reporting or similar HRIS systems.
